Our FreshWater Fellowship is aimed at equipping, mentoring, and ministry for those who serve on leadership teams in the body of Christ. Two themes will be the focus of our time together: spiritual formation and leadership development.
Our exploration of spiritual formation will seek to illumine, encourage, and equip us in “being filled to all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19). As leaders, we must become people who bear the presence of God into our ministry. Without him, we can do nothing. Apart from his abiding presence flowing through us, people will not take our “God-talk” seriously or will not receive the impartation that God wants to release through our lives. God’s people deserve godly, God-filled, and God-anointed leaders.
Leadership development will direct us toward growing in integrity of heart and leadership skills (Psalm 78:70-72). Both our character and our capacities as leaders are to grow together. We will seek to grow in wisdom and learn the skills essential for godly leadership. Specific issues, challenges, and problems you are facing in your church will be addressed.
Our time together at FreshWater Fellowship will include teaching, dialog, prayer, and ministry. You will be given a resource manual that will grow with each session and remain a valuable resource for the years ahead. Each month you will receive teaching notes for spiritual formation, leadership development, spiritual exercises of ideas for your personal practice, and ministry ideas for leading your staff, leadership teams, or small groups. There will also be overflow teachings of things to think about, pray about, or to pursue in personal study.
